Our program is reliant on community support to survive. Sponsorship and/or donation to FBVMA provides our students with the following resources:

Loaner/starter instruments (banjo, fiddle, and guitar) to any student who cannot afford their own instrument or any student who wants to try an instrument before buying their own (depending on availability).

Subsidize instruction and half-priced tuition scholarships for financially challenged families.

Provide musical education that teaches both music theory and learning by ear through group and individual lesson that meet all skill levels. Instructors are professional faculty members who have regional expertise in Appalachian music and performing.

Give students access to local, regional, and national performance opportunities.

Assure all program activities, faculty, and volunteers meet child safety requirements to ensure our students are learning in a safe environment.
